Medical Debt Relief

In collaboration with CHUK, Al Amal is implementing MDRP, a program with the aim to help the vulnerable patients who failed to pay their bills after receiving the treatment. CHUK appreciates this initiative as it contributes to hospital’s commitment to quality services The project started in May 2020 and from this period, it is well performing which makes it to be recognized as one of the essential projects in helping vulnerable patients at CHUK.

Main activities include; bill payments for vulnerable families and social assistance for some specific cases.

Bills payment

During this period, the partnership has supported 29 vulnerable people who failed to pay their medical care services to cover their bills. The beneficiaries were identified in different departments; including Pediatrics, Surgery, Pavilion Ophthalmology, cases in Emergency, Neurology and Internal Medicine.

Each end of month AL AMAL responds to CHUK request for payment, the total amount of is paid and the patients are informed that the money used is from zakat.

Social cases

This support included but not limited to the provision of milk to the babies born in CHUK, and return home transport facilities.
