AL-AMAL’s Iftaar Distribution Brings Hope to Rwandan Communities

During Ramadan 2025, AL-AMAL in partnership with AZAM Rwanda, a commercial company which is committed to helping poor Rwandan Muslims get Iftar through Al-Amal (IAD), which is also already doing similar activities to reach out those families.

This initiative aimed to ensure that those in need could break their fast with dignity and nourishment.

The distribution focused on areas with limited access to food, reaching out to orphans, widows, the elderly and low-income households. Each Iftaar package contained essential items such as rice, beans, dates, and cooking oil, sufficient for a family to prepare a wholesome meal.

Imaams of the mosquee and volunteers collaborated to identify beneficiaries and facilitate the distribution process. Their efforts ensured that the aid reached those most in need, fostering a sense of unity and compassion during the holy month.

During this period we extend the Iftar support to the selected poor Muslim families from Nkungu and Rubona in Rwamagana district who are now struggling to get something to eat in this holy month of Ramadan and reach them in their homes.

The amount received has been used in purchasing the below Iftaar packages for 100 families of 328 people from the households in total.

“What brings me here today is, above all, to express my heartfelt thanks to this organization for providing us with Iftaar at this masjid. We are deeply grateful, Alhamdulillah. May Allah bless you abundantly, reward you with goodness, protect your families from illness, and grant you a safe return.” Said KUNDABENSHI Wilson Saleh from Nkungu Masdjid.

Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude, with many noting that the support not only provided physical sustenance but also uplifted their spirits. One recipient shared, “This Iftaar package means more than food; it shows that we are not forgotten.”

“AL-AMAL is more than just an organization; it is our trusted partner here in Rwamagana District. It has consistently supported our community and will continue to stand with us through various initiatives. That’s why I say: leaders of AL-AMAL, you are truly valuable to us. Whether you knock at our doors by day or night, we will always welcome you. And in all your noble efforts, know that we are ready to support you wholeheartedly”. Said NSHUTI Sadiki, Imaam of Rwamagana District
